Fatality at Selby Railway Bridge

30/09/11: A man who has not yet been named has died after falling off a bridge in Selby on 27th September.

The incident occurred at approximately 2.40pm at the railway bridge in Park Street and police say that early indications would suggest that the man fell from the bridge and on to the car park below. Paramedics advised that the man had died immediately.

A police spokesperson said that they were unable to name the victim but he was 37 years old. Although the police are carrying out an investigation into the death, there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding it.
