Car driver blamed for RTA

28/11/11: A motorcyclist is to seek compensation after sustaining injuries in an RTA.

Nerys Pearce was riding her motorbike in Feltham in October 2008 when she collided with a car which was being driven by Sharon Miles.

It is alleged that Miss Miles pulled out in an attempt to make a right turn through oncoming traffic and in front of Miss Pearce’s bike which caused the collision.

The motorcyclist sustained serious injuries to her left leg and right arm which has led to a complex syndrome and made it necessary for her to rely on a wheelchair.

Local press has reported that her claim is ongoing and that papers have not been sent to the High Court. Although liability has been determined; with Miss Miles being 75% responsible, the two parties are thought not to be able to agree an acceptable settlement amount. The court papers state that Miss Pearce is looking for more than £300K compensation
