Darent Valley Hospital faces compensation claim

Margaret Maddox was a known sufferer of strokes, but she was refused admission to the Darent Valley Hospital in Kent, as instead, they decided she required psychiatric help.

Ms. Maddox then collapsed in the hospital car park, in the middle of the night, after her family had taken her back to the hospital, following her complaints of illness and severe headaches. Unfortunately, she died three days later.

The Darent Valley Hospital has denied negligence on their part and a coronary report states that Ms. Maddox died of natural causes. However, certain paperwork is reportedly missing from the file related to Ms. Maddox and medical notes were incomplete. Her husband, Phillip has elected to institute court proceedings.
