Hospital admissions for three after RTA in Warwickshire

Three people, a man and two women, have been admitted to hospital after a collision involving two vehicles in Warwickshire.

At around 7:45am on the 4th September, the Ambulance Service of the West Midlands were called to the A46 near the M6 in Ansty. Three ambulance vehicles and a senior paramedic were called to the scene.

A spokeswoman for the West Midlands Ambulance Service said that the crew found a collision involving a van and a car. The van driver, a male in his 40s, was unconscious upon arrival and had suffered injuries to his head and chest. His passenger, also in her 40s, had a head and hip injury.

She confirmed that both were treated by the ambulance paramedics and were immobilised before being taken to the University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire. The female driver of the car was also taken to hospital as a precaution, due to the nature of the accident.
