Three Dead After Crash In Highland

Three people have been killed in a two vehicle collision in the Highlands.

The crash happened on Tuesday at around 18:00.

Emergency services attended the accident scene on the A9 at Kingussie.

According to the police, the fatal accident claimed the lives of three people.  Three others sustained injuries in the accident and have been admitted to the Raigmore hospital for treatment.

An Audi car and a Jeep Cherokee were involved in the crash.

The three people who have been injured in the collision are in a stable condition although they were badly injured.

Following the main crash, there was an incidental collision in which a third vehicle sustained minor damage.

Two of the vehicles had British registration while the third was a German registered.

The A9 was shut for several hours after the collision.  There was a diversion in place but it was also blocked for sometime after a lorry broke down.
